Biography
Ajoe P. Abraham is a member of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s litigation practice group. Mr. Abraham comes to the firm from a New York-based boutique corporate law firm, where he specialized in commercial litigation as well as the formation and management of luxury asset funds and start-up companies.
Mr. Abraham is a full-service commercial litigator with experience in representing both private and public companies in a broad range of disputes and transactions. He has extensive experience representing businesses in every phase of the litigation process and often acts as outside general counsel to corporate clients with regards to their formation and daily operations.
Mr. Abraham has worked on both routine contractual disputes as well as complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation in both state and federal court, arbitration, and at the appellate levels. He has represented closely-held private companies, public corporations, and the principals and/or shareholders of these entities. He has represented companies and principals in matters related to shareholder derivative lawsuits, breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, fraud, and state RICO actions. Mr. Abraham also has specialized experience in litigating matters related to high-end art, including disputes between galleries, clients, brokers, and art investment funds. His extensive experience includes both the prosecution and defense sides of these matters.
Mr. Abraham volunteers his time as outside general counsel and a member of the board of directors of Childhood Cancer Society. Childhood Cancer Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists low-income families, with children suffering from cancer, by organizing make-a-wish style events for the children and assisting families with medical bills.
Mr. Abraham graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Classical Civilization. In 2013, he received his Juris Doctorate from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in Taxation. While in law school, he worked in the Tax Clinic assisting numerous clients in negotiating tax issues with the Internal Revenue Service. In 2019, Mr. Abraham graduated from Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business, with an MBA degree.
