Biography
Michael J. Touma is an associate in the firm’s Public Law practice group. His practice is focused on transactional and regulatory matters, including contract and policy review, preparation of agreements, and analysis of state and federal statutes and regulations affecting public sector operations.
Before joining the firm, Michael gained experience in transactional and regulatory work through legal internships and clerkships. At the Seattle Seahawks’ legal department, he worked on real estate agreements, zoning reports, contract review, and policy drafting related to stadium operations and major events. He also served with the U.S. Copyright Office in the Policy and International Affairs division, where he researched copyright and antitrust issues, evaluated industry submissions for regulatory initiatives, and prepared internal memoranda. At Brothers and Henderson, P.S., he contributed to probate, trust, and estate-related matters.
During law school, Michael served as Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the Washington Law Review and authored a published Comment analyzing intellectual property protection in professional sports.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with a minor in Law and Society, from the University of Maryland. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
