Dorothy (Dede) B. Duncan

Dorothy (Dede) B. Duncan is a member of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Commercial Real Estate Group. A veteran attorney, Dede devotes her practice to corporate and real estate matters, including real estate development, purchase and sale transactions, real estate finance, and title issues.

Prior to joining Scarinci Hollenbeck, Dede has held diverse positions within the legal field, all of which give her unique insight into complex real estate transactions. For nearly a decade, Dede operated her own boutique law firm, where her practice focused on residential and commercial real estate. In addition to advising residential and commercial clients regarding purchase/sale, refinance, and redevelopment matters, Dede also represented lenders with regard to loan applications and documentation, contracts, leases, SNDAs, and corporate documents.

Dede’s legal experience also includes serving as assistant counsel to a lender specializing in providing real estate secured business loans, underwriting counsel to a New York City title insurance agency, and a senior title specialist. Earlier in her career, Dede worked as state counsel for two large title insurance companies.
