Biography
Eric A. LaMons serves as Counsel in the New York office of Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC. He joined the firm after first practicing at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP, in its highly regarded litigation department, before moving to boutique New York law firms, where he built a deep litigation background representing both individuals and large corporate clients across a wide range of legal issues.
Mr. LaMons represents clients in matters involving financial agreements, commercial and international contracts, securities and investment contracts, real estate disputes, creditor’s rights, partnership disputes, product liability, insurance, and bankruptcy. He has represented Fortune 500 companies and closely held businesses across industries in matters spanning a range of complexities.
He regularly litigates in state and federal courts and has appeared before national and international arbitration panels. Mr. LaMons manages all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, trial, post-trial briefing, appeal, and alternative dispute resolution. He also provides strategic counsel in negotiating settlements when appropriate or otherwise seeking to resolve disputes.
His previous experience includes work on Capitol Hill and at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, offering valuable insight into governmental and regulatory processes that often intersect with complex commercial litigation.

Successfully won a $100+ million judgment after trial in state court, and prevailed on appeal, representing a hedge fund and its managers against a major bank in a dispute over two credit default swap agreements involving mortgage-backed securities. - Oil & Gas Investment Dispute – Federal Court
Won summary judgment in federal court representing a financier and related entities in a multi-million-dollar case concerning high-risk investments in Utica shale oil and natural gas interests in Ohio. - Fintech Litigation – Trading Systems
