John J.D. Burke, Esq. works with private and public sector clients on both state and federal labor and employment issues.

John has negotiated collective bargaining agreements on behalf of a variety of municipalities, as well as side-bar agreements, separation agreements between employers and employees and a variety of other settlement agreements. John handles grievances and unfair practice claims regarding topics such as paid time off, disciplinary practices, discrimination, and FMLA and has appeared before the Public Employee Relations Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in defense of municipalities and school boards with respect to same. Further, John has handled a variety of employee disciplinary matters including disciplinary appeals before the Civil Service Commission.

In addition, John practices intellectual property law and has drafted and managed a variety of Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy complaints.

John earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, NJ, with a concentration in Intellectual Property. He was an Associate Editor of the university’s Law Review (2013-2014) and an active member of the Entertainment Law Society. He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA where he double-majored in Philosophy and in Fine & Performing Arts.
