Biography
Dennis C. Linken concentrates his practice in communications regulatory law, with clients in the cable television, competitive telephone, and cellular telephone industries. He regularly appears before the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and municipalities throughout the State.
Mr. Linken is outside counsel to major national communications companies and has been centrally involved in the acquisition and disposition of communications companies, as well as significant financing transactions. He concentrates his practice in communications regulatory law, with clients in the cable television, competitive telephone, and cellular telephone industries. He regularly appears before the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and municipalities throughout the State.
Mr. Linken appears before municipal bodies, New Jersey administrative and regulatory agencies and in State and federal courts. He has successfully negotiated settlements in major compliance investigations and enforcement actions, and has made law in a landmark case before the Superior Court of New Jersey, establishing mandatory access rights.
Prior to joining the Firm, he served with the Division of Rate Counsel of the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate, where he represented the public interest in utility and cable television rate proceedings. Mr. Linken has also served as Deputy Director of the Office of Cable Television, within the Board of Public Utilities, where he acted as chief administrator of the agency and liaison to the Federal Communications Commission.
Mr. Linken, a graduate of Temple University (B.B.A., 1970) and Rutgers University (J.D., 1973), is listed in the inaugural edition of Who’s Who in Cable Communications, as well as other leading publications.
