Laura M. Miller is a member of the Corporate Transactions & Business Law Group, with a focus on the representation of cable television, competitive telephone, and cellular telephone providers. She provides clients with expert guidance on compliance with regulations of the Board of Public Utilities and Federal Communications Commission and has been involved with numerous franchise renewals, the negotiation of right-of way agreements, issues related to client access to the right-of-way, compliance investigations, agency rule-making and the defense of clients in administrative law proceedings.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Miller practiced general civil litigation, defending both private and public clients in State and federal courts and representing clients in mediations and arbitrations in a wide range of matters including commercial contract disputes, construction claims and employment discrimination litigation. She is also the manager of the Firm’s Summer Associate Program and Co-chair of the Diversity Committee
Prior to her career as an attorney, Ms. Miller worked in Arizona as a political campaign manager for Janet Napolitano and with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office as the Director of Community Policy.
