John C. Laurence is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and has prosecuted patents in various technologies including computer technologies, mechanical devices, medical devices, and financial systems.

John has experience with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board including drafting and submission of appeal and reply briefs.  John also prosecutes trademarks and has experience with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board including trademark oppositions and cancellations.  John has negotiated and drafted many forms of intellectual property agreements including assignments, licenses, terms of service, trade secret, and co-existence agreements.

Before coming to the firm, John was a patent attorney at W.R. Samuels Law and Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering with a minor in computer science from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University and earned his JD from New York Law School.
