Little Falls, New Jersey — Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC is pleased to announce that Partner Angelo Auteri has been awarded the Michael A. Pane Ethics in Government Award, one of New Jersey’s most esteemed recognitions for integrity and professionalism in public service. The award was presented on Thursday, November 20th during the New Jersey State League of Municipalities Convention in Atlantic City.
Presented jointly by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJLM), the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys (NJILGA), and the Pane family, the Michael A. Pane Award honors a municipal professional who has demonstrated the highest ethical standards in local government. Recipients are selected for their contributions to transparency, accountability, and trust in public institutions.
As Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Public Law Group, Auteri advises municipalities throughout New Jersey on complex governance, ethics, labor, and administrative matters. His steady leadership, discretion, and commitment to principled decision-making have earned him the respect of both colleagues and municipal leaders.
While presenting the award, Brittany Tarabour, an attorney in Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Public Law Group, remarked, “Angelo’s approach to conflict resolution is marked by integrity and discretion. Colleagues, commissioners, and community leaders have described Angelo’s impact in a simple, telling phrase: Angelo ‘brought calm to chaos’” She continued, “That same steady, principled leadership extends beyond crisis response into mentorship at the firm, where Angelo guides eight public law associates. He has built a team defined not by size, but by trust—and the knowledge that his counsel carries both legal and moral weight. He teaches our younger attorneys that professionalism, transparency, and fairness are not optional, and that ethical leadership and trust are the foundation of effective municipal government.”
“It is a great honor to be recognized by his peers, and we are all proud of him. Angelo joins the pantheon of New Jersey’s best municipal attorneys,” said Donald Scarinci, Firm Managing Partner of Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC.
“Receiving the Michael A. Pane Award is an incredible honor,” Auteri said. “I am grateful for the trust municipalities place in me and remain committed to serving with transparency, integrity, and respect for the communities we represent.”
Auteri’s work is defined by an unwavering commitment to ethical governance. He has played a significant role in guiding municipalities through politically sensitive challenges, fostering stability, transparency, and adherence to municipal ethics codes.
Scarinci Hollenbeck congratulates Angelo on this distinguished achievement and celebrates his exceptional contributions to public service and the New Jersey municipal community.
