Two Partners, a Counsel, and a Senior Associate Deepen the Firm’s Litigation Bench in Little Falls, Red Bank, and New York City
Following last month’s announcement that eight attorneys joined the firm, Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC continues its expansion, this time strengthening its Litigation Group. The firm welcomes Paul S. Grossman and Jay R. McDaniel as Partners, Chris Seelinger as Counsel, and Oleksandr Kryvenko as Senior Associate. Together, the four litigation attorneys deepen the firm’s bench for the full range of high-stakes disputes a business can face, across industries and at every stage of a matter, from pre-litigation strategy through trial and appeal in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts. That depth is felt across the firm’s practice areas, including partnership and shareholder disputes, business valuation, real estate litigation, and appellate advocacy, for corporations, family businesses, and individuals on both sides of the Hudson.
“As we continue to grow, we are making sure our litigation strength grows with us,” said Donald Scarinci, Managing Partner. “Expanding the Litigation Group with attorneys of this caliber gives us more depth and more capacity to serve our clients, and it positions the firm for the next stage of our growth.”
Paul S. Grossman, Partner, represents corporate clients in complex commercial litigation and in arbitral proceedings before American and international tribunals, with a concentration in intellectual property, securities, antitrust, business torts, creditors’ rights, real estate, and employment disputes. He has argued before the United States Courts of Appeals, the New Jersey Appellate Division, and the New Jersey Supreme Court. He has handled bet-the-company matters for clients including a national stock exchange, one of the world’s leading office furniture manufacturers, and several regional banks.
Chris Seelinger, Counsel, represents corporations and family businesses in complex commercial disputes spanning business torts, corporate governance, contracts, fiduciary duties, and restrictive covenants. A Columbia Law School graduate, Chris pairs legal judgment with a sophisticated command of technology and eDiscovery, using custom-built tools to organize dense factual records and reduce the cost and burden of discovery.
Jay R. McDaniel, Partner, brings more than three decades of experience in partnership disputes and business valuation, representing majority and minority interests in shareholder and LLC member oppression, breach of fiduciary duty, and forced buyout matters from the firm’s Little Falls and Red Bank offices. A Certified Valuation Analyst and Certified Exit Planning Advisor, Jay is the editor and principal author of the Business Divorce Law Report.
Oleksandr Kryvenko, Senior Associate, joins the New York City office, where he will work closely with the litigation team led by Partner Ryan O. Miller that joined the firm last year. His practice spans across arbitration, commercial and civil litigation, real estate disputes, and appellate work. He has consistently secured favorable outcomes for his clients in a wide range of matters. Oleksandr serves on the Board of Directors of the New York County Lawyers’ Association (“NYCLA”). He is the Founding Chair of the NYCLA’s Committee on Inclusion of International Lawyers in the U.S. Legal Profession. He is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
“Litigation is where our clients face their most consequential moments, and we are committed to meeting them there with the deepest bench in the region,” said Angela A. Turiano, Partner and Chair of the Litigation Department. “Paul, Jay, Chris, and Oleksandr each bring a distinct strength to the group, from appellate advocacy to business valuation to legal technology and international arbitration. I am thrilled to welcome all four to the team.”
