Congratulations to the Scarinci Hollenbeck kayak team, who took first place in the Corporate Cup Challenge at the fourth annual Hackensack Riverkeeper Reservoir Challenge this past weekend. Our intrepid team, comprised of Dan McKillop, Crystal Prais, Laura Schaefer and Todd Terhune, secured a definitive win in the Corporate Cup Challenge – a relay race which pitted several other companies against each other competing for a worthy cause.
“The Reservoir Challenge event is one of the few times that the public has access to paddle the Oradell Reservoir,” said Todd Terhune. “Winning first place made the event particularly exciting for our team.”
‘It was a great day in the water, and our team was proud to bring the cup to the firm,” added Dan McKillop.
The fundraising event, hosted by Hackensack Riverkeeper, Inc. and SUEZ North America was held on the beautiful Oradell Reservoir in Haworth, NJ on June 11, 2016. Competitors flocked to participate in several events including a 5k and 10k race, as well as the Corporate Cup Challenge. All proceeds from the day went to Hackensack Riverkeeper, Inc. whose mission is to protect, preserve and restore the Hackensack River Watershed.
