New York, NY – March 28, 2014 – Anthony R. Caruso, Esq., partner and chair of the Sports, Media & Entertainment Law Group of Scarinci Hollenbeck LLC, was invited back to appear on Fox Business Nework’s Varney & Co. with guest host, Charles Payne on March 25, 2014. They discussed the NBA Dallas Mavericks owner, Marc Cuban and comments Cuban made about the future of the NFL. Payne and Caruso also discussed Mikhail Prokhorov’s attempt to move the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets team operations to Russia.

Marc Cuban is known for his provocative statements and recently the Dallas Mavrick’s owner said he thinks the NFL is “10 years away from imploding.” Anthony Caruso said, “His conclusion maybe correct, football is headed down a dangerous path, but it certainly is not because of too much TV time. Caruso continued, “As far as football being in jeopardy of extinction, I believe it will be due to the concussion rate, the injury rate, or players’ antics off the field.”

The discussion continued and Charles Payne questioned the motives behind Brooklyn Net’s owner Mikhail Prokhorov’s attempt at moving team operations to his native country of Russia. Caruso commented, “I believe he is doing it because of a little known law in Russia that you cannot run for political office unless you have all your assets in the country.”
