201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comLyndhurst, NJ – May 4, 2017– Scarinci Hollenbeck congratulates Associate Krystle Nova who has been honored by the New Jersey Law Journal as a New Leader of the Bar. Formerly known as “40 under 40,” this annual award is presented to young attorneys in the Garden State who have built accomplished careers and established themselves as leaders within their firms and organizations, as well as within the legal community as a whole. In choosing their honorees, the Law Journal conducts a rigorous evaluation process, managed by a panel of individuals from all corners of the legal profession.
Ms. Nova, who has been with Scarinci Hollenbeck since 2015, represents both private and public sector entities with regard to labor and employment issues. She currently serves as Corporation Counsel for the City of Union City as well as the Union City Housing Authority. In addition, she is a mentor for the Union City High School Pipeline Program and is a Trustee of the Hudson County Bar Association.
“I am proud and humbled to receive this honor along with the talented attorneys recognized this year and in past years. It would not have been possible without the mentorship and support of the wonderful colleagues I’ve worked with along the way,” said Ms. Nova.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Nova was a Deputy Attorney General in the Division of Criminal Justice, where she prosecuted criminal matters on behalf of the State of NJ, specifically cases involving fraud against state and federal agencies. She graduated from Cornell University (B.S.), where she studied Human Development and earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Among her many accolades and honors, she was selected for inclusion in “The Latino American Who’s Who” (2013 Edition), which recognizes leading Latino professionals and their achievements in offering a positive perspective about the Latino community and their contributions to society.
The honorees will receive their awards at an event on June 20, 2017 at the Law Journal’s annual Professional Excellence reception.
