On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Libby Babu Varghese, Counsel in Scarinci Hollenbeck’s NYC Intellectual Property practice group, will be featured in a webinar panel discussion entitled “Trademarks, Patents and Copyrights: Protecting Your Brand”. Hosted by SCORE NYC, the webinar will be led by Ms. Varghese as well as fellow intellectual property attorney Laurie Marshall. The two will hold a discussion addressing how small businesses can be more proactive about protecting their intellectual property and the importance of becoming knowledgeable about the various legal protections that exist as well as how to put them in place. The webinar will teach attendees about the different types of intellectual property, how to differentiate between them, why each type is needed and the process for obtaining each type. Attendees will also learn more about several topics relating to patents, including how to distinguish between patentability and patent infringement, for example.
“Now is as good a time as any to learn more about how you can protect one of the most critical aspects of your business,” stated Ms. Varghese. “I look forward to collaborating with Laurie on this important discussion.”
