Lyndhurst, NJ – March 30, 2020 – Scarinci Hollenbeck is proud to have played a role in the production of 400,000 much-needed ventilators by working with in-house and outside counsel at Ford Motor Company to reach a vital licensing agreement deal with an NJ-based manufacturing client. Partners Ronald S. Bienstock, Jill A. Michael along with Donald M. Pepe and a small team of the firm’s intellectual property attorneys and staff spent the past weekend working around the clock to develop an agreement between Ford and a manufacturer that makes a proprietary valve that is vital for the production of ventilators. Negotiations began the evening of Saturday, March 28, 2020, and were finalized, agreed upon and put into effect the following evening. The ventilators are expected to have an initial production run completed over the next few weeks.
“Our team worked tirelessly to bring this incredibly important agreement to fruition,” said Lead Counsel Ron Bienstock. “We wish the very dedicated attorneys and executives with Ford much success with this project during this crucial time.”
