Krystle Nova Scarinci Hollenbeck Labor Employment Attorney
Krystle Nova, Esq.

Congratulations to Scarinci Hollenbeck associate Krystle Nova who was recently appointed to serve as a Trustee on the Board of the Hudson County Bar Association. Ms. Nova began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Kevin G. Callahan, J.S.C. (retired) at the New Jersey Superior Court, Hudson Vicinage and has been a long-time member of the organization. Ms. Nova, who joined the firm earlier this year, devotes her practice to the general legal representation of municipalities, counties, authorities and school boards in a variety of litigation and compliance matters, including Open Public Records Act requests, Open Public Meetings Act, disciplinary hearings, Public Contracts Law, collective bargaining, and employee grievances. Her practice also encompasses the representation of private and public sector employers in labor and employment matters, representing public entities and municipalities with regard to various labor and employment issues. She works closely with clients to develop, draft, and implement employment policies, procedures and manuals that satisfy their individual business needs.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Nova was a Deputy Attorney General in the Division of Criminal Justice, where she prosecuted criminal matters on behalf of the State of NJ, specifically cases involving fraud against state and federal agencies. Prior to her work as a Deputy Attorney General she clerked for the Honorable Kevin G. Callahan, J.S.C. (retired) at the New Jersey Superior Court, Hudson Vicinage. She is a graduate of Cornell University (B.S.) where she studied Human Development and a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While at Cardozo, Ms. Nova worked at the Bet Tzedek legal services clinic, where she represented indigent citizens before administrative courts, and she was a founding member of the Cardozo Advocates for Kids Association.

The Hudson County Bar Association was founded in 1877 as a nonprofit professional organization for attorneys.  Its mission is to promote a professionalism and legal camaraderie within the legal community, to aid in the administration of justice, to enhance the delivery of and access to quality legal services, to educate the public about the legal system, and to actively participate in the success of the community at large. Members of the Hudson County Bar Association work to improve the profession, the community in which they live and the administration of justice.
