Little Falls, NJ – October 18, 2023 – Scarinci Hollenbeck is pleased to announce that David Edelberg, Partner and Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, has been named Volunteer of the Year by the New Jersey Bankruptcy Lawyers Foundation (NJBLF).
The NJBLF was created to raise funds from the bankruptcy bar and their associates to assist debtors and other financially distressed individuals. Its Volunteer of the Year award recognizes professionals whose leadership and hard work has demonstrated a devotion to its mission.
The NJBLF hosts annual events throughout year in support of local residents and non-profits. As an active and long-time member of the foundation, Mr. Edelberg has chaired the NJBLF’s annual Tennis Outing for more than 15 years.
In addition to his volunteer work, Mr. Edelberg is a recognized leader in New Jersey’s bankruptcy bar. He is a past Chair of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA). He currently serves as a trustee of the NJSBA and Chairs its Professionalism Committee. Mr. Edelberg is also a Past President of the Bergen County Bar Association (BCBA) and has chaired the Debtor Creditor Committee for the BCBA for over 20 years.
Mr. Edelberg will be honored at New Jersey Bankruptcy Lawyers Foundation & Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey’s upcoming Evening of Celebration, which will be held on October 23, 2023.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by the NJBLF,” said Mr. Edelberg. “I am also proud to support its mission of giving back to the system in which we work every day.”
