While we do not wish to spoil the fun, party hosts should be aware that there is potential legal liability related to Super Bowl parties, particularly when alcohol is served.
One of the greatest risks is that a guest or third party is injured in an accident related to alcohol consumed at your party. As a first step, it is recommendable to review your homeowner’s policy or comprehensive general liability policy with your insurance professional to make sure that you are covered for such possible claims.
To avoid being sued, businesses and individuals should plan to take appropriate actions to deter guests from drinking excessively and driving. Here are a few suggestions:
