Professionalism Day in the U.S. District Court

Scarinci Hollenbeck Partner Fernando Pinguelo Served as a Panelist on Professionalism Day

Fernando M. Pinguelo, a Partner at Scarinci Hollenbeck and Chair of the law firm’s Cyber Security & Data Protection practice group, was a panelist for a program titled “Life of a Case in Federal Court: Ethics & Professionalism Considerations” presented on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. The program was part of the Professionalism Day sponsored by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. The program was held at the Federal Courthouse in Newark, simultaneously with similar programs presented at the Federal Courthouses in Camden and Trenton.

Pinguelo was invited to serve on the panel by the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.

The panel will be composed of program moderator, U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge The Hon. Michael A. Chagares, and panelists Pinguelo, U.S. District Court Judges The Hons. Esther Salas and Susan D. Wigenton, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge The Hon. Donald H. Steckroth, U.S. Magistrate Judge The Hon. Joseph A. Dickson, and Michael D. Sirota, Esq. of Cole Schotz Meisel Forman & Leonard, PA. The program will address several aspects of professionalism and ethics for trial lawyers.

Besides chairing its Cyber Security & Data Protection practice group, Pinguelo is also co-Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Crisis and Risk Management Group. He has extensive experience as a trial attorney and has garnered a national and international reputation as one of the pioneers of the emerging practices of cyber law and electronic discovery (eDiscovery). Several local, national, and international syndications have bestowed awards on, or otherwise profiled, Pinguelo for his work, including Law Technology News, which identified him as one of the few U.S.-based attorneys with advanced experience in managing privacy and security issues.
