201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comFernando Pinguelo, Scarinci Hollenbeck Partner and Chair of the firm’s Cyber Security & Data Protection and eDiscovery groups will be among the panelists at a special CLE symposium entitled Data Breach: Legal Responsibilities and Ramifications to be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Rutgers Law School. This symposium will explore the current legal landscape regarding the responsibilities of those collecting personal data of consumers and the ramifications of data breaches. Together with the other distinguished panelists, he will discuss individual data privacy concerns, New Jersey federal regulations, data breach response strategies, the pros and cons of class action litigation and corporate compliance. Participants will receive 3.7 CLE credit hours for New Jersey, 3.5 for New York and 3.0 for Pennsylvania. Fernando M. Pinguelo leads Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Cyber Security/Data Privacy team that provides publicly traded and Fortune 1000 companies with legal services, including litigation, corporate, intellectual property, employment, and more. A leader in the emerging areas of cyber law and electronic discovery, Fernando works closely with clients to develop strategies for managing business and legal issues relating to electronic data. He focuses client attention on preventing claims and pursuing strategies that enhance a client’s ability to manage data-essential precautions because of the financial and public relations fallout that often results from high-profile data breaches. When a rapidly evolving crisis or emergency hits, Fernando mobilizes his interdisciplinary team of professionals and implements a response strategy to mitigate damages. Fernando’s team of highly skilled lawyers include those with extensive experience in the areas of corporate law, tax, financial restructuring and creditors’ rights, insurance coverage, intellectual property, commercial real estate, and environmental law.
