It is open to all members of the Entertainment, Sports and Law Section, and will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the Law Center, One Constitution Square, in New Brunswick. This cutting edge seminar will focus on intellectual property protection and enforcement. Participants will earn 2.4 CLE credits for New Jersey, 2.0 for New York, and 2.0 for Pennsylvania. For more information or to register, go to: www.NJSBA.com.

The second presentation entitled Intellectual Property for the General Practitioner. The half-day seminar, presented by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (“ICLE”), will be held at the Law Center, One Constitution Square in New Brunswick, New Jersey on December 8, 2016. This seminar is designed to help general practitioners learn the “nuts and bolts” of intellectual property law. Areas of intellectual property to be covered include copyrights, patents, trademarks, unfair competition, non-compete clauses, the European Unitary Patent System. Issues to be explored at this comprehensive session are the differences between various properties, how to register them, whether registration is enough to protect a client’s property, how to navigate the US Patent and Trademark Office, and how to enforce ownership of a client’s property.
