On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Partner David Edelberg will present a webinar, entitled, “Takeaways from To Kill A Mockingbird: Advancing Civility And Professionalism In The Practice Of Law”. The seminar, hosted by the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), offers 2.4 LE credits for attending professionals.
The classic book “To Kill a Mockingbird” serves as the backdrop for this webinar, which discusses the importance of being a professionally responsible lawyer. As the description highlights, “Atticus Finch took Tom Robinson’s case even though he knew he would lose. The outcome did not matter to Atticus. As Atticus explained to Scout, he must argue it to uphold his sense of justice and self-respect. How do we adhere to the RPCs, diligently represent our clients, and apply concepts of civility when practicing law in 2023 and beyond?” This question, among other topics will be explored. Mr. Edelberg will also review ethics opinions that are most relevant to practicing law.
