In USA Today, New Jersey cyber lawyer Fernando M. Pinguelo weighs in on legal implications surrounding the recent leak of personal photos of Olympian Lindsey Vonn with former boyfriend Tiger Woods, including what it could it mean to “prosecute to the fullest extent under the law.”
While there are ways victims such as Vonn can aggressively pursue those who hacked into her private photos, “[t]he problem with this area is it’s comprised of a patchwork of laws [and it] really depends on what happened – how [hackers] accessed [the photos] – in order to determine what the consequence may be,” Pinguelo explained.
