201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comLyndhurst, New Jersey –March 8, 2017 – Charles Yuen, a Partner and member of the Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Litigation law group has been elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF), a charitable and honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars. Membership in the Fellows of the ABF is limited to one-third of one percent of the lawyers admitted to practice in each jurisdiction of the United States. Being selected as a Fellow signifies recognition of an attorney whose career has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in the profession, service to society and commitment to the ideals and objectives of organization.
At Scarinci Hollenbeck, Mr. Yuen is a litigator with extensive experience in contract law and related disputes. He works on complex multijurisdictional corporate, commercial, construction, insurance and reinsurance coverage lawsuits as well as major cases involving alleged breaches of joint venture, executive employment, and franchise agreements. Mr. Yuen chairs the firm’s policyholder-oriented Insurance Recovery and Liability Group. His work also involves environmental, professional, securities, commercial, regulatory, insolvency, and bankruptcy law and issues of damages and equitable relief, including temporary restraints and preliminary and permanent injunctions. He defends corporations and individuals against allegations of liability, and is familiar with and has analyzed all major types of insurance policies, including for example general and automobile liability; product liability; environmental liability; property; errors and omissions; directors and officers; maritime; fiduciary; employment; hospital; Bermuda form; title; fidelity; surety; umbrella; and excess.
Mr. Yuen has served for several years on the editorial board of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Law Journal, and is presently a Co-Executive Editor. A 1990 Columbia University Business Law Review article Mr. Yuen co-authored has been cited and discussed by four U.S. state supreme courts (California, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Iowa), with three of those courts unanimously adopting the position Mr. Yuen advocated.
Mr. Yuen is a member of the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut bars and is also admitted to practice in various federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree, cum laude, from Princeton University.

Scarinci Hollenbeck is pleased to announce that retired Superior Court Judge, Ronald Lee Reisner, J.S.C. (Ret.), has been selected to be on the Board of Trustees of the U.S. Attorney’s Office Alumni Association for the District of New Jersey. Judge Reisner, who joined the firm after serving fifteen years as a Superior Court Judge in Monmouth County, is also a Trustee for HABcore, Inc. HABcore is a charitable organization which provides permanent and supportive housing for homeless veterans, families and individuals with special needs.
