Saif Ahmed

Saif Ahmed is an Associate in the Public Law group at Scarinci Hollenbeck, based in the firm’s Little Falls office.

Before joining the firm, Saif served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Darren J. Del Sardo, Civil Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic Vicinage. In that role, he drafted bench memoranda, judicial opinions, and orders, reviewed and analyzed pleadings, briefs, and evidentiary submissions, and supported the Judge in pretrial and trial preparation. He attended motion hearings and trials and served as a mediator in small claims and landlord-tenant matters.

Saif brings a public sector perspective to his work that predates his legal career. As a Systems Analyst with the Morris County Clerk’s Office, he supported county employees and worked with third-party vendors to improve the Clerk’s public-facing services. Earlier, with the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, he assisted the Business Administrator on employee matters and took part in meetings with the Chief of Police, Township Attorney, and Township Clerk to revise the Township’s payable offenses ordinance. He also holds a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University.

His experience extends to intellectual property and corporate compliance. While completing his law degree, Saif worked in the legal department of a global professional association, where he managed a trademark portfolio of more than 350 word and design marks, prepared filings and responses to office actions with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, drafted cease and desist letters, responded to subpoenas, and helped keep the organization’s entities in good standing across all 50 states and internationally. He also researched and drafted memoranda for the Board of Directors and General Counsel and co-chaired the organization’s legal and compliance internship program.

Saif earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where he was named to the Dean’s List and received a merit scholarship. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University, Newark and a B.A. from Rutgers University, New Brunswick.
