Kimberly Diaz

Kimberly Diaz is an Associate in the Public Law Group who brings substantial courtroom and judicial experience to her practice. Before joining the firm, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County, where she supported the court across both the Family and Civil Divisions.

In the Family Division, Kimberly assisted the court with domestic violence and non-dissolution dockets, reviewing pleadings and motions related to restraining orders, child custody, child support, and parenting time. She drafted bench memoranda, orders, and opinions, conducted legal research under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act and related family law statutes, and mediated matters involving custody, parenting time, and support. On the civil side, she reviewed motions, including summary judgment applications, conducted legal research, and observed jury and bench trials while facilitating Special Civil Part mediations.

Kimberly’s earlier experience spans both prosecution and the courts. She worked as a Summer Law Clerk in the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, including in its Appellate Division, and served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania, where she conducted preliminary hearings and handled cases from initial charges through disposition. She also externed for judges in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania courts.

Kimberly earned her J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School, where she was inducted into the National Order of Barristers and received the Outstanding Service Award, Public Service Recognition, and an Advocacy Certificate. She was active in the Moot Court Honor Society and served as Secretary of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society and President of the Latin American Law Students Association. She holds a B.A. in Law and Justice, with a minor in English, from Rowan University.
