Lyndhurst, NJ, June 22, 2015 – Scarinci Hollenbeck is pleased to announce that three of its attorneys, Founding Partner Donald Scarinci, Partner Theodore A. “Ted” Schwartz, and  Associate Frances E. Barto, were selected by (201) Magazine to be included on its annual list of Top Lawyers in Bergen County. Donald Scarinci, Managing Partner of the Firm, was named a top lawyer in Health Care Law, Partner Ted Schwartz in Environmental Law and Associate Frances E. Barto in Litigation. The list appeared in the June 2015 issue of Bergen County’s (201) magazine.

201 magazine Bergen County Top LawyersThe research for the Top Lawyers list is based on a peer-review survey conducted by Professional Research Services and sent out to attorneys and members of the judiciary in Bergen County. Thousands of votes were cast honoring excellence in all areas of practice. Inclusion in (201) magazine’s Top Lawyers is based solely upon one’s standing within their peer group.

Although Health Care Law is only one of several areas of practice in Mr. Scarinci’s repertoire for which he has earned a stellar reputation, he was named a top lawyer in Health Care Law based upon his extensive knowledge of the health care industry and ability to assist Scarinci Hollenbeck’s clients in making informed business decisions, properly structure transactions and design solutions that comply with complex legislative and regulatory mandates.

Mr. Schwartz is one of New Jersey’s original practitioners of environmental law. From 1965 to 1970, he served as Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where he acted as Chief of the Attorney General’s Task Force on Pollution.  He currently is devoted to assisting owners, leaseholders, equity holders, PRPs, and government entities with coordinating project development, developing remediation strategies and management of project related environmental and remediation requirements.

While Messrs. Scarinci and Schwartz have both been selected in past years for this honor, this is the first time for Ms. Barto, a rising star in the profession, recognized for exemplary legal work and professional involvement. Ms. Barto focuses her practice on commercial litigation, representing individuals and business entities, as well as the representation of municipalities, boards of education, and political figures, with respect to tort law claims and constitutional claims in State and Federal Court. She is also an active member of the Bergen County Bar Association, where she is to be sworn in as of September 2015 as President-Elect of the Young Lawyer’s Division for the 2015-2016 term, having previously served as Vice President from 2014-2015, and as Secretary from 2013-2014.  She is also a long-standing member of the New Jersey Young Professionals Group, a state-wide organization promoting social and business development for young professionals.
