Bergen County's (201) magazine has released its annual listing of Bergen County’s Top Lawyers for 2017.  Scarinci Hollenbeck is pleased to announce that two of the firm’s partners were selected as for inclusion on 2017 list. The honorees are partners John G. Geppert, Jr., and John M. Scagnelli. Mr. Geppert was selected for his work in Education Law and Mr. Scagnelli for his work in Environmental Law.

John G. Geppert, Jr., is well known throughout the state for his work in education law. He has extensive experience representing school boards in all facets of education law. He serves as General Counsel to many boards of education throughout New Jersey. In that capacity, his role includes conducting negotiating with employee associations and collective bargaining units. He also handles all aspects of employee and student disciplinary hearings, and participates in all board issues involving residency, and tuition.

John M. Scagnelli’s environmental law practice encompasses the entire environmental law field, including environmental compliance, environmental litigation, environmental auditing, environmental permitting and environmental counseling. Mr. Scagnelli has had extensive legal experience servicing law firms, businesses and public entities. He serves as environmental counsel for banks and lending institutions, commercial and industrial companies, states and municipalities, real estate development organizations, and other organizations.

The research for the Top Lawyers list is based on a peer-review survey conducted by Professional Research Services and sent out to attorneys and members of the judiciary in Bergen County. Thousands of votes were cast honoring excellence in all areas of practice. Inclusion in (201) Magazine’s Top Lawyers is based solely upon one’s standing within their peer group.
