William R. He then spent three years at a California IP boutique advising clients on trademarks, copyright, design and trade dress protection, anti-counterfeiting and customs enforcement, trade secrets and unfair competition, as well as global licensing regimes.

Since that time, Bill founded and managed premier IP boutique firm W.R. Samuels Law. His opinion has been published numerous times over the years, and he is a past articles editor for “New Matter,” an intellectual property law journal. He is often requested as a guest speaker and serves as Chair of the NY State Bar IP Section Trademark Committee.

John C. LaurenceJohn C. Iva RukeljIva Rukelj, Associate, specializes in trademark, copyright, design, fashion, and Internet law. Iva appears on behalf of clients in federal court and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Iva holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and is an experienced EU and US attorney with a combined in-house and law firm exposure. While living in Europe she developed a passion for intellectual property law, serving as a general counsel to an advertising agency where her work centered on legal issues surrounding advertising and media law, copyright clearance, and trademark prosecution.
