William R. Samuels, Scarinci Hollenbeck Partner and Chair of the firm’s Copyright and Trademark practice group will be appearing on a panel discussion at the New York State Bar Association’s (NYBSA’s) annual Intellectual Property Section meeting. The meeting, entitled “Brands, Corporate Social Responsibility & Maintaining Goodwill” will feature Mr. Samuels, along with several other panelists, discussing the importance of both corporate and social responsibility as they pertain to a brand’s growth, success and the increasingly valuable goodwill in every industry. Panelists will also be discussing how brands are acting on their corporate and social responsibility as well as providing an overview of the trademark and compliance issues that relate to these activities.
“I look forward to being a part of this panel. I feel it will be beneficial for attorneys, businesspeople and entrepreneurs who are looking to gain a clearer understanding of intellectual property and the impact it can have on their business. A lot of people don’t realize how seeking protections and putting their IP plans into practice can enhance their clients’ or their own business’s innovation and market differentiation,” said Mr. Samuels.
