Scott V. Heck is a member of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Litigation practice group. Mr. Heck has over a decade of experience handling complex litigation matters, with an emphasis on the representation of management in all areas of employment law, in both the state and federal courts throughout New Jersey and New York.
Mr. Heck defends employers against a variety of employment lawsuits from the inception of the lawsuit through trial, including claims related to discrimination, wrongful discharge, whistleblowing claims, unlawful harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, family leave, and violations of both state and federal civil rights statutes. Additionally, Mr. Heck frequently provides employment counseling related to hiring and firing of employees, implementation and enforcement of workbook policies, investigations related to claims of harassment/discrimination and updating of employment handbooks to reflect the changes to federal, state, and local employment laws.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Heck was associated with a Florham Park, New Jersey law firm where he regularly litigated in both federal and state courts regarding employment disputes and significant product liability claims. Additionally, Mr. Heck has experience handling complex insurance coverage disputes, ERISA-related matters and constructive trusts.
Scott earned his Juris Doctorate from the Seton Hall University School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. He currently is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and serves as a member of the Labor and Employment Group. Scott is also a member of Red Bank’s Rent Leveling Board and is active with the Red Bank Elks Lodge #233. He frequently speaks at employment-related seminars providing updates as the ever-changing state, local and federal employment laws.
