Commercial Collections and Consumer Litigation

Scarinci Hollenbeck assists clients with the collection of various types of debt, including debts that are owed to businesses, organizations, property owners, financial institutions and individuals.

As an extension of the firm’s Litigation Department, Scarinci Hollenbeck assists its clients with the collection of various types of debt, including debts that are owed to small and large businesses, professional service organizations, landlords/owners of residential and commercial property, banks and other financial companies and individuals.

The Group provides effective debt collection representation in many different types of commercial matters, including actions brought under the Uniform Commercial Code. In addition, the Group represents banks and other financial companies in litigation to collect debts and unpaid loans, assists professional service organizations in collecting unpaid fees for services rendered, and also represents residential and commercial property owners in obtaining unpaid rent from their tenants.

The Group uses innovative and collaborative fee structures with its clients in an effort to reduce legal expenses and maximize our clients’ total net recovery. The Group also provides advice and assistance in reducing future debt collection problems. They assist clients in developing business contracts and procedures that reduce the risk of litigation and draft clear contract provisions that set the terms for any future litigation.

In addition, with assistance from attorneys in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group, the Commercial Collections and Consumer Litigation Group represents client creditors in enforcing their rights in Bankruptcy proceedings.
